Swedish winter, created with “See This Bundle”
It’s good to have a system when you are setting out to turn a bunch of photos into a photobook.
That’s one reason why templates are such a good solution. Your design is set, and you just need to work out what fonts you will use for the text and off you go.
I love it because it makes the process of creating travel photobooks seamless and enjoyable. I can just get into the flow while I relive the trip and discover the gems amongst the photos I took. Sometimes I add color overlays to make the photos work better together, and I nearly always tweak the brightness and contrast a little, but generally putting together pages like these of a big trip to Sweden is quick and dirty.
Once I’ve made all the pages (saved as jpegs) I just upload them as a batch to be printed as a “one photo per page” album (I use Blurb).

WOOHOO! Rachel and I have a new collection for BYOC at The Lilypad this weekend! It’s a heritage themed massive bundle that was so much fun to create and to scrap with.
Yes, that’s me in Yugoslavia, shortly before narrowly avoiding a landslide and a couple of days before becoming embedded (accidentally) in an army convoy heading into Kosovo, where the civil war was just bubbling up.
Don’t tell my mum. Please.
Inspired by Anna
Do you remember me mentioning that I was sitting in on a new class by the amazing Anna Aspnes?
The “Special One Creative Photobook Project” class is proving to be lots of fun, but also very inspiring to see how Anna creates with her trademark artsy ‘ArtPlay’ method. Even if you are not ready to commit to a class, I highly recommend you sign up for her newsletter, and her pack of resources to get you started on exploring even more digital artistry.
