The 'Peregrination" mixed media travel-themed collection is now at "The Lilypad", featuring muted colours and vintage textures - with a 'teaspoon pop' of bold colour

Rachel Jefferies and I have a new collaborative collection, bringing together our unique takes on digital mixed media, especially for the BYOC (‘Build your own collection’) event at “The Lilypad”.
The BYOC event means you can grab bits from lots of Lilypad designers that will co-ordinate together, since we all use a pre-determined palette of colours to create with for the event.
Our new “Peregrination” travel-themed collection comes as packs of mixed media, cards, templates, and a kit - OR you can grab the whole collection as a best-value bundle 1
Rachel and I were inspired by the colours which suggested traditional map colours to us - the muted greens, greys, tan and black.
The bold orange provided a great pop of colour to draw the eye and add some excitement.
My page recipe is often made up of one or two main colours (alongside a pale or white base) with an added teaspoon of another, contrasting or complementary colour added in.
I have been travel obsessed ever since I can remember, possibly as a result of being transplanted against my will to the far side of the world. And perhaps because I am such a visually orientated person that being surrounded by new and different sights and details (and I try to notice every detail!) is something I need on a regular basis. Not to mention it’s the only time we really get a break from work (or from the relentless hayfever that has already started up, and it’s not even officially Spring …)
These days it is a complicated thing, so we try to do it as sustainably as possible by drastically limiting the number of trips we make (fewer but longer), and using trains (or feet!) to get about once there.
Here are some of my Dad’s old slides from the aforementioned ‘transplantation’:

Please note however, that the collection bundle comes at a pre-set heavily discounted price and is not eligible for the additional ‘buy more, save more’ discounts you can get by buying lots of BYOC products.
