Record the little details, for you and for the future
The new "This Little Life" collection at The Lilypad, plus 40% off everything at Oscraps
Camden Town, London. Created with the “This Little Life” collection
Like lots of us, I started on this creative journey because I wanted to record my daughters’ lives and leave them a legacy in the form of stories and photos of their childhoods.
It was extra important to me, as I didn’t know how long I’d be around and able to tell them those stories myself. But I am still here, and I have two chests full of printed photobooks all about their lives. I have to say, so far they kind of take them for granted … ;-)
But as time goes on, I am telling more of my own stories and recording more of the details of our empty nester everyday life as well as delving into my old pre-motherhood photo albums.
And if I ever think, ‘why am I making a page about this?’ I remind myself what an absolute treasure it would be to have pictures and stories about my mother or grandmother’s lives way back when.
And, of course, it’s also fun to create.
I have been using a new collection that is new in store at The Lilypad this weekend. It’s a bit vintage-y and a bit collage-y (and also a little bit St Patrick’s, if that’s your bag .. hence the music on the video) :-)
All on sale at Oscraps
Meanwhile, the “Emotions” kit has landed at Oscraps and is 40% off this weekend ..like everything else there!
